...I feel like announcing on my journal that I have decided once again to post things on Deviantart, which I stopped doing for a while.

So update: I'm baa-aaack.

Also currently in Japan, which is cool and worth mentioning.

THAT IS ALL.

I recently spent ten days in the land of snail-eaters and baguettes... France of course.

-I fended off annoying salespeople at the foot of the Eiffel tower
-I fended off German photobombers at the top of the Eiffel tower
-I learned how to order ice cream in French
-I learned how to react when your friend discovers an allergy to the aforementioned ice cream
-I listened to a performance on the metro by the best mariachi band I have ever heard
-I listened to a performance on the metro by a creepy rapping, keyboard-toting weirdo with dolls on his hat and fingers
-I took pictures of the beautiful scenery of the Loire Valley and fields of sunflowers
-I took pictures of myself sitting on a cannon, and Cursedcamper imitating statues

I've never been abroad without my family before, and it was an absolutely awesome experience!

France is indeed a strange and wonderful place. :iconlegasplaplz:

So. I noticed, on my way to see New Moon... that there is a CRESCENT MOON outside. Bad. Timing.

As for the movie itself, I thought it was better than Twilight... but still not fantastic. The people who played side characters were better actors than the main characters. And a shirtless Robert Pattinson... that actually grossed me out, I'm not gonna lie. Taylor Lautner on the other hand... :iconnosebleedplz: He has what, a ten-pack? It caught me off guard.

Either way, I don't consider myself a "Team" anything. The guy next to me asked what team I was on, I told him Team Edward... Scissorhands. (If I'd said Elric he wouldn't have gotten it :P) My friend said Team Harry Potter, and I wish I'd paid her to yell "Cedric Lives!" when Edward came back. Would've been priceless.

SoOoOoOo I got back from visiting family all over England on Monday (I went go-karting and kayaking and ran around in a giant inflatable ball with my cousins!), and had my first day of junior year on Wednesday... which was a shock at the time, since I thought the first day was on thursday, so I had to write an two essays in two days XD I'm bad with procrastinating, it's sort of a summer tradition.

Anyhow, I have survived the end-of-summer homework effort, although technically I haven't yet finished all my work... but my teacher hasn't checked that yet :D

I thought that in the summer I would have plenty of time to draw tons of stuff, but apparently that fell through, although I still have a ton of half-finished things, but junior year is giving me a boatload of work, with difficult classes and whatnot. I'll find time. Eventually.

And also irrelevantly, the Doc Martens that I really wanted came in the mail a few weeks ago, I absolutely love them! I wore them out for the rainy day today, and my friend decided that while I was dancing around in the rain with a black umbrella and docs and grey checked hoodie, I had a indie-english-underground sort of look. It is the most obscure style name I have ever heard of, but I like it :D

On the flight to England, one of the flight attendants saw me drawing and asked if I was an art student. Apparently she's an illustrator/flight attendant, and draws when she's in Bristol. It was really cool talking with her, she was a very inspiring person... and I'm shocked that I was mistaken as an actual art student, heh! Drawing on planes is always an ego boost, with the flight attendants and random people across the aisles stopping to chat. :aww: Warm fuzzy feeling...

I survived heart surgery and didn't even get a cheesy t-shirt or souvenir to prove it! Bah.

Nothing major, surprisingly. It wasn't "open" heart surgery, so it was just sort of intravenous work. But yeah, still living! It was on Friday, and I can walk around and do things perfectly fine, except I'm not supposed to exercise or do heavy lifting. Which is fine by me, I'd rather leave that to the rest of the world. :D

I have some things to upload, but I'm being lazy, so... maybe I'll get those online tomorrow, or next week or something... (procrastinate... a lot...)

I only just noticed how often I type "..." I guess my thoughts trail off into stupidity or incoherency too often, heh.

So yeah. Just sort of here to brag about surviving and all. :iconimhappyplz:
